MAPS is pleased to be hosting an evening of discussion and reflection on Palestine on Friday November 20th from 7PM to 9PM. We have an exciting line up of speakers who will discuss their current and former work and experiences in the West Bank and Gaza. This is a free and public event. Please make it a priority to attend and bring along your guests.

About the speakers:
Professor John McKay serves as Visiting Professor of Law at Seattle University. During 2013 – 2015, Prof. McKay served as Chief of Team for rule of law projects in the West Bank of Palestine for the U.S. State Dept. Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement. He led a team of approximately 60 Palestinian lawyers, former police officers, technologists and analysts working with West Bank prosecutors, police and courts to enhance public safety, human rights and the rule of law. President George W. Bush nominated Prof. McKay to serve as the United States Attorney for the Western District of Washington on September 19, 2001, and the United States Senate confirmed his nomination on October 24, 2001. Dr. Gerri Hayes and Dr. Bob Hayes volunteer with the Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility (WPSR). WPSR has sponsored delegations to Palestine, Israel, Jordan, Syria and Iraq since 1993. Since 2009, following the first of the wars on Gaza that have occurred in the last six years, ten delegations of medical professionals from WPSR have traveled to Gaza to provide medical care and consultation. In January, another medical group hopes to serve in Gaza. Gerri & Bob Hayes will be speaking about their personal experiences and on the ground realities based on their numerous trips Gaza providing medical relief and assistance to the people there. Mahmood Khadeer is the current President of MAPS. He is one of the founders of MAPS. In his professional life, he is a senior director in Microsoft mergers and acquisitions, managing the customer support vertical.
