Nature, Outdoors, and Wildlife (NOW)

If a Muslim plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, or a person or an animal eats from it, it is regarded as a charitable gift for him.” – Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)

Who We Are

MAPS – Nature, Outdoors, and Wildlife (NOW) sponsors wildlife and nature-focused initiatives through efforts to clean up the environment, plant native species, and provide trail maintenance. We are dedicated to making our neighborhoods and environment more ecologically sustainable, preserving nature and wildlife in the Puget Sound and across Washington through collaboration, education, and service.

What We Do

MAPS-NOW participates in several initiatives throughout the year, some of which are highlighted below:

Tree Planting and Park Maintenance

MAPS-NOW established an amazing partnership with King County Parks to make Marymoor Park more beautiful. We participate in four work parties at Marymoor Park per year, working on projects including landscaping, tree planting, and more.
